You can purchase a horse for cash or by using time payments in equineGenie. If the horse purchase price exceeds the business preference asset minimum capitalization value the horse can be aided to the business assets to be capitalized and depreciated.

You can sell a horse for cash or with time payments in equineGenie. equineGenie will calculate the payment amount and schedule, track and manage the payments. equineGenie will alert you when a payment is due.

You can remove a horse from the active horses. equineGenie archives a removed horse’s records for recall if necessary.

The veterinarians and farriers and their contact information are automatically made vendors to your business.

You can setup a Horse’s Preventative Care. Preventative Care can be setup for a horse’s: Temperature, Weight, Height;- Vaccinations; Deworming; Dental and Farrier.

Entering the previous date a preventative care was administered automatically schedules a preventative care reminder and the preventative care never has to be rescheduled. equineGenie will generate automatic reminders going forward.

Different vaccines can be scheduled at the same interval or variable intervals. equineGenie will generate a reminder for each vaccine at its scheduled time.

A rotating dewormer program can be setup. Different dewormers can be scheduled at the same interval or variable intervals. equineGenie will generate a reminder for each dewormer at its scheduled time.

horse preventative care

Temperature, Weight and Height preventative care can be administered to an individual horse. All horse Temperature; Weight and Height health records are automatically updated.

Vaccinations can be administered to an individual horse. One or multiple vaccines can be administered when a horse is vaccinated. All horse vaccination and health records are automatically updated.

Deworming can be administered to an individual horse. All horse deworming and health records are automatically updated.

Dental work can be administered to an individual horse. All horse dental and health records are automatically updated.

Farrier work can be performed on an individual horse. All horse farrier and health records are automatically updated.

If any individual preventative care is the result of a scheduled reminder the respective setup information is transferred to the associated screen and does not have to be entered, but can be changed if necessary.

Any historical preventative care information can be entered in the associated screen on the dates they were administered.

Any cost associated with administering a preventative care can be transacted and accounted for in equineGenie.

horse herd preventative care

Vaccinations using the same vaccine can be administered to a herd of horses or multiple horses by location. All horse vaccination and health records are automatically updated. The total cost is equally split between the numbers of horses vaccinated.

Deworming using the same dewormer can be administered to a herd of horses or multiple horses by location. All horse deworming and health records are automatically updated. The total cost is equally split between the numbers of horses dewormed.

The same farrier work can be performed on a herd of horses or multiple horses by location.  All horse farrier and health records are automatically updated. The total cost is equally split between the numbers of horses who had the farrier work.

Any materials used when administering a herd preventative care can be deducted from inventory and the proportional cost expensed to each horse.

horse health care

A horse’s medical diagnosis can be entered, tracked, managed and reported. The horse knowledgebase contains some medical diagnosis. If a diagnosis is added it will be remembered and will not need to be reentered.

A treatment plan can be entered including the frequency the treatment is performed. A treatment plan reminder can be generated.

A horse’s treatment information is entered. If the treatment is administered from a reminder the treatment plan information is automatically transferred to the treatment screen, but can be changed if necessary.

Medical tests can be entered, tracked and reported. If a medical test includes a document, certificate, video or x-ray they can be stored in equineGenie in any file format.

A horse’s genetic diseases and genetic test results can be entered in equineGenie.
